ABOUT: Miguel was a soldier in the Cuban army. He was assigned to accompany the ship Mambi in an operation during World War II, which was carrying supplies when it was sunk by a German submarine near the Manati coast in Cuba, shortly after leaving the country. Miguel was one of the survivors rescued by the US Navy. He was taken to the US, injured. Without informing Cuba, they experimented on him, using him as a guinea pig in tests to find a formula for creating super soldiers, while he was still unconscious. Since he showed no improvement or any differences in the tests, and was still very ill, he was sent back to his country when they discovered that he had not died (since his body was not found and witnesses said he had been rescued). His fiancée, whom he later married, took care of him until he got better. Over about ten years, the effects of the drugs they had injected him with gradually began to appear. The power of regeneration prevented him from aging after the age of 33, maintaining the youthful appearance that he had to disguise for the rest of his life, isolated in a beach house with his wife, living off his military pension, after having been retired by the government as a war fighter. When he became a widower, he faked his own death. Now, he claims that he is the son of that couple who had lived in the beach house, where he continues to live.
